    The Tag Line I use in this All-Day Prospecting Workshop is “If You Commit to Acquiring 20 Real Estate Listings in 2020 you will close an Additional 5 to 10 Deals from the Activity they Generate!”

     

    The Big Questions: Why is it that nearly 80% of all Real Estate Transactions are done by a little more than 20% of the Real Estate Agents? Why is it that a few Agents become Listing Agents and the rest struggle with less than 8 Transactions/year?

     

    Weaknesses in Fundamental Skills: The Areas of Weakness or Dereliction can be reduced to these five (5) Major Business Imperatives: 1. Agents’ Business Attitude and Planning; 2. Agents’ Consistency with Prospecting Skills; 3. Agents’ Control of Presentation Skills; 4. Agents’ Time Management and Daily Habits; 5. and Agents’ Mental Toughness and Stamina.

     

    If you study these 5 areas you will see that they all intersect at the Skills and Consistency of Prospecting. Many of our Real Estate Professionals are not skilled enough with Good Scripts to prospect for Listings; and even when they are they lack the Self-Motivation to Carry them out Day In and Day Out. The first step to set the proper Mindset of Prospecting and give the agents a Proper Prospecting Agenda; the next is to go into the weeds and practice the scripts, approaches, and Follow-Up of Prospecting. If we don’t train them on Prospecting Correctly we end up with a huge number of Agents who become Order-Takers, and unfortunately our industry is saturated with such agents.

     

    Emphasis on Skills: We must Stop Thinking that agents are either naturally wired for Real Estate or not; All the areas I just discussed are areas of “Skill” and “Systems” this is why this is an All-Day Workshop.      Real Estate is a demanding Career and requires a sharp focus on Daily Habits, Intentional Prospecting, and most of all Self-Motivation. In this training presentation I will share with you The 8 Fundamental Success Habits that have empowered Realtors bring out the best in themselves, and achieve their goals in a predictable manner. At the end of the day “We get what we focus on!”

     Since I have you with me in this blog, let me share with you a tip that I make every Broker and Agent do on a daily basis in the morning; it is called the 10/5. I have them select a Business Book of their choosing and have them get a Notebook, or a Business Journal; a writing composition book if you wish, for them to capture their ideas, and here is the daily exercise: Right before they start their Business Day, they grab their chosen book and read it for a minimum of 10 minutes; ideas will then start flowing and as they do I want them to write for 5 minutes in their Business Journal. This simple exercise may seem innocuous on the surface; but if you stick with it for 3 months your life will completely change – you will find that problems are not as big as they seem; solutions will find you quickly; and your confidence will build beyond what you imagined yourself capable of. I urge you to take me on this exercise and start reaping the rewards of introspection.
