Many become Entrepreneurs and Real Estate Professionals in order to make a good living, or at least a better living than the job they had before jumping in. #KeySuccessIdeas - Let us first define properly True Entrepreneurs: Individuals who live and die by the venture they just embraced - All in. Another group of Independent Contractors do it on the side, and have existing income from another job - they are called Transitioning Entrepreneurs. Some think that the distinction is about the amount of time they give to their Venture - No, it is not! It has to do with the belief in oneself at generating predictable measurable Results.
A True Entrepreneur has two choices - they either make it or make it. Yes, you read that right! Full-Time Entrepreneurs are the ones who have clarity that if others in their field are thriving, so will they. In fact I hate the term Full-Time because it suggests that there should be a Part-Time. Running a proper venture is not simply about the amount of time you put in; it is an emotional deposit in your belief system, and a questioning of your reliance on your Comfort Zone. You can be the hardest worker of the bunch and not mentally and emotionally be ready to be an entrepreneur. Hard Work is not the first ingredient in making it as a Real Estate Agent - Handling Rejection is.
This is not an easy conversation to have with many who desire to come to this side of the fence so they can collect the riches of being an Entrepreneur. The goodies are not strewn on the street - they are inside of you and must be brought out. Many of you have yet to be punched hard in the gut and confront the Fear of Rejection; “You will be Rejected!” - there I said it. Many will say No to you; some will even be nasty about not wanting to work with you. The question is not how do I avoid these happenings - the better question is: Are you going to shake it off quickly enough and move on to the next client; or are you going to let it eat at you? This is the bottom line of being in the Results Game - your emotional resilience will dictate whether you remain standing or you end up folding.
Don’t get me wrong; I am aware that my words are a bit harsh, but I am truly on your side. I would not do what I do if I did not believe that these barriers can be overcome - but are you willing to the work? Will you let me, or others like me, push you to have the breakthrough necessary to succeed as an entrepreneur? All of the ideas I talk about are learned skills; we are not born being able to handle rejection - it is a skill we learn. We are not born being methodical and deliberate; they are learned skills. You just have to make the decision that you will walk the valley of pain and come out on the other side stronger. Marines are not born Marines; they are forged with proper training.
