Running a Business as an Entrepreneur requires Tenacity; Mental Strength to deal with your daily activities and compete at a high level. #KeySuccessIdeas - When you add the layer of dealing with people, which is what your career calls for in Real Estate, you need another level of Emotional Mental Fortitude Day in Day out. But where inside of you can we find this Mental Toughness and this Emotional Resilience? – It lurks in plain sight within your Habits


Yes, studying your Habits and developing new ones are the necessary tools for harnessing the power of your Mind. You can see this clearly if you observe elite athletes, say NBA players, they practice their shots and situations so often that when they are in a game instinct takes over. Well it isn’t instinct per se, it is repetition without proactive recall - some call it being on autopilot, but it isn’t quite that; these words are inadequate because they convey the idea that the person doing the action is not in control - yet they are; it is a lower level programming that you imbue yourself with so you can perform at a higher level - in other words, Repetition leads to Habits


Start thinking of your career as The Mastery over Your Habits; - as you structure new Strategic Habits and Routines in your day, results will take place. Keep a Journal for a few weeks and observe yourself doing your work; ask yourself: What are my daily habits? Which habits are helping me in my career and why? Which habits are hindering my career and why? What habits do I observe in others that I wish to integrate in my business? Are my current habits helping me achieve my goals? 2,300 years ago Greek Philosopher Aristotle said: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” 


The most difficult question I get is how do I forge new habits? You start with the easy ones - let’s tackle one important one right now. What time do you go sleep at night? This actually dictates the time you wake up in the morning. Most adults need from 7 to 8 hours of sleep, and the decision to turn off the TV or the screen you are on no later than 10pm is a habit. Don’t lie to yourself by saying things like I am a night person; you are and become whatever habit you develop. Entrepreneurs need their early morning for Mental Preparation, Business Planning, and Strategic Maneuvering. Going to bed past 10pm and waking up past 7am is not acceptable. Waking up between 5am and 6am is the sweet zone, which means going to bed between 9pm and 10pm is the habit that needs to be developed. Not an easy habit to forge; but oh how you would love yourself once you are in that zone. 


Confront this question: Do I have the Willpower to Succeed in my career? If you desire the answer to be Yes, then you better develop the proper sleep cycle and the proper morning routine. Willpower is about prioritizing the important values of your life; it is not about your ego. Willpower is about putting on the gloves to combat against the little temptations that keep seducing you into mediocrity. Your Long Term Goals should and must come first over binge watching some show; otherwise you are NOT a True Entrepreneur.
